Voltage Valet Store

Electrical wall outlets around the world differ in shape, number, and arrangement of plug holes. Voltage Valet adaptor plugs allow voltage converters, heavy duty transformers, and dual voltage appliances to fit most of the electrical outlets found worldwide.

Ungrounded Adaptor Plugs
If your North American appliance plug has two flat blades only, then your applaince is ungrounded. Five different ungrounded adaptor plugs are available for use with ungrounded voltage converters, transformers and dual voltage appliances:
A-North America
B-Continental Europe
C-Australia/New Zealand/China
D-United Kingdom/Hong Kong
E-South Africa/India.

To determine the adaptor plug you need see Voltage Valet's Country List in the "What You Need For Where You Want to Go" section. NOTE: Some countries use more than one type of outlet and you should carry the appropriate adaptor for each outlet listed. Remember adaptor plugs DO NOT convert electricity; they simply modify foreign outlets.

GeoPlug™ 5 In 1 Adaptor Plug System
Voltage Valet's patented GeoPlug allows you to connect voltage converters, transformers and dual voltage appliances to foreign electrical outlets. The GeoPlug includes the 5 most common plug configurations found world wide. The unique rotation action presents the plug you need-one at at time.

Grounded Adaptor Plugs
If your North American appliance plug has two flat blades and one round pin, your appliance is grounded. If your applaince is dual voltage you need a grounded adaptor plug. If your appliance is 110-120 volt only you need a grounded transformer.

Voltage Valet offers sixteen different grounded adaptor plugs for modifying grounded outlets found worldwide.

Polarized Plugs
In North America many ungrounded appliances are required to have plugs with one blade wider than the other. This type of plug is called a "polarized plug." All Voltage Valet converters, adaptor plugs, and heavy duty transformers will accept polarized plugs. IMPORTANT NOTE: You may find some countries (parts of Central America, Japan, Mexico, etc.) that use the North American style plug without polarized outlets. The Voltage Valet "A" adaptor plug will allow your polarized appliance to operate in those locations.

Recessed European Electrical Outlets
Many countries in Europe use electrical outlets that are recessed into the wall. Voltage Valet converters, models V5, V16, VCC and VCA, will not fit these recessed outlets without our model "B" adaptor plug. See section "What You Need For Where You Want to Go" for a list of countries using recessed outlets 2, 3, 4 & 6.
